Wellington National Golf Club
About
Located in the small community of Wellington, Wellington National Golf Club (previously known as Binks Forest Golf Club) offers a tranquil forest setting that is more reminiscent of a North Carolina course than a Florida course. After opening in 1990 to much acclaim, the course unfortunately suffered from poor management and closed for a period of time but successfully reopened in 2007 with a newly renovated 18-hole golf course.
The layout is tight and thanks to the abundant trees, very narrow at some spots. Mature pines line the narrow fairways and the greens roll fast and true. The course thoughtfully incorporates the terrain, utilizing the natural elevation changes and water features. The bunkers were strategically placed to make you really strategize your club selection and target. One of the most appealing aspects of the course is that it can truly accommodate all different skill levels with yardages ranging from 5,268 to 7,253.

Great Course
I've been to over 100 courses from all around the world, and can say Binks Forest is one of the best values for the money that I've ever enjoyed. The conditions, while needing a little bit of work, you'll hardly notice the rough patches due to the excellent layout and greens. The staff is extremely friendly and the course offered 18 unique and fun holes. The food was excellent and reasonably priced. After my game, I immediately signed up for a membership because I just can't see myself paying for another course after experiencing Binks. I highly recommend this course.
nice golf overall
this golf is in a nice area an is interting to play at every level of your game. Sorry for poor english.
Nostalgy of the past
We played this course at least 20 years ago and the conditions were much much better. It is still a good lay-out but the overall conditions (fairways, sand bunkers, roughs) are just average.
Not crowded
As good as most other area courses in west palm beach. Not too crowded, plus good pace of play.Enjoy playing here.
Good for the money
This is a good course. It is worth your money if you reserve with Golf 18 or Golfnow. The only bad comment I would give concerns the fairway, it needs more grass but still you can move it a few inches to play it.
Great Layout... shows lack of care
This is a great layout... good greens, fairways with bare spots but seems to be improving. This course offers the average golfer some options and I suggest unless you are a single digit handicap that you play the white tees... treelined fairways... good bunkering, good greens, great bartender, and good value on golfnow.com
Conditions
The course is very sparse. The fairways have allot of missing grass and around the greens are terrible. They just can't get it right. Also probably the absolute practice range I have ever seen!!
Outta the way but well worth it
Another great experience on a uncrowded course. Great scenery no houses awesome experience. Golf Now made it best value.
We love this course !
We play Binks every December when we are in Florida because it is a great course that makes us not slice our drives on the narrower fairways. Our personal challenge is to par the 18th ... almost did.
Fun and good value for money
Course was not busy - good for me but unfortunate for the course.
Was in good shape, greens were fast but tee boxes need some work. Didn't bother me though, was a nice layout and had fun playing it.
Binks Forest
Course was nothing what the pictures looked like. The tee boxes were in desperate need of a haircut. The grass was higher than my tees. The greens ran very slow maybe an 8. Too much money for the overall. The staff was very friendly. I would only recommend this course to someone who has a 15 or higher handicap
This course has a great layout. Greens are in good conditions compared to the alleys. Hard to figure Out why! Hole 18th is superb!
This course has so much potential. A beautiful layout in a nice community. Surprisingly, the greens are in good conditions compared to the alley, which sometimes remind you of cow pastures. The cart paths are also poor conditions.
If you're just looking for a round of golf at a reasonable price, it´s worth going. But of you're looking for nice alleys, don't waist your time there.
Bring boots and moquito repelent
the course is in bad shape, tee boxes bad, fairways bad, greens ok, the grass is so long in the rough better hit straight or you would be attacked by mosquitos in the rough, the layout is good but in overall the course need a lot of work very disappointed with this place
Great layout
Course needs attention to fairways many bare spots and greens needed to be cut and rolled.
POOR COURSE
There were no tee boxes. You were in a fairway, tee box, all same box. Greens not cut, very very poor course. Course could be beautiful, but needs a lot of work. Very Sad, if this place had some funding, it would be beautiful. Feel bad for the people playing it, in very very bad shape.
Spoiled by punks who were vulgar and abusive.
Course is in bad shape but moreover our round was spoiled by three punks who tried to bypass us on the 10th hole after stopping for beer. When we confronted them they became vulgar and abusive calling us despicable names. We were two couples, seniors, and were shocked by their language and threats. No course Marshall to report the incident to. Did tell the people in the pro shop after the round, but doubt that they will do anything about it, such as reporting their names to Golf Now or any other golf website suggesting that you not allow them to use your site.
James Taylor.
Horrible
Let me start by saying I've played 1001018 courses and this one is by far the worst ever! The course tee boxes were about shin high in grass my ball would get lost while on the tee. Place looks like it hasn't seen a lawn mower in months. To me it looks like they are going out of business the way the course looked/played. Every fairway was horrible! and the bunkers looked like they haven't been raked it weeks, with shell rock sticking up on most of then and washouts that were horrible. And the greens, the greens were rolling about 3 I can putt better in my back yard (witch is terrible grass) if I were y'all I would get binks forest off golfnow cause they make you look bad for even selling a tee time to that junk yard of a golf course. If there was a zero star I would rate that cause at the best it might deserve a zero. Never again will I book a tee time with binks forest!
Could be beautiful.
A little TLC required.grass needs to be cut. Tee boxes are in bad shape.
a great layout, the condition today is a shame.
I know this course for more than 15 years and I played there a lot. in this moment the course is in a very bad condition. I hope the people will recover it. I will still play there but is hard to recommend the course to a friend.
