Situated just minutes from the Gold Coast beaches in the heart of Boca Raton, Southwinds Golf Course enjoys warm ocean breezes and lush vegetation. Water is a prominent presence throughout the course. Water hazards come into play on 16 holes. There are also mature trees throughout that will play a deciding role in shaping your shots. The golf course offers some enjoyably difficult holes but overall the challenges are manageable. Each hole is unique offering everything from opportunities to "grip it and rip it" and others that are defined by trees and lakes. The golf course finishes with one of its many water holes but on this par 4, you have to hit over water twice. In addition to the golf course, Southwinds also offers a driving range a putting green with a practice bunker.

Decent course
The greens are a bit spotty with dirt patches but in general it is in fairly good shape. The 19th hole is very basic an lacks a food menu, which means you must go elsewhere if you plan to eat after playing.
Pleased
First time playing this course and was well pleased. It was great having the ranger monitoring pace of play. Recommend this course.

Love the course do not like to be told to wear a mask.
in the club house. Most places I freauent target wall mart and publics do not require a mask. Why do they.

The course challenged you to pull the driver and leaves you between clubs. It's a very good course that way

Being that they are shutting down my municipal course. I am thrilled to find courses near by that are a good value. I want to play a lot and you can see they take pride in this course.

The Southwind’s golf course is challenging
It is well kept and beautiful. You must play there to rate yourself. Your concentration has to be excellent to play there .
Crisp Hot Day
Nice relaxing day one walker and two golf carts winding around the landscape. Tight fairways with water obstacles abound, providing excellent bunker and iron shots for an average to advanced golfer. The weather was typical Florida hot and humid with the lingering threat of pending rain from overhead clouds, the rain came just after we finished Hole 18. This gem of a county course offers nice landscaped fairways and rolling greens to make any day a golf day to enjoy.
