Poinciana Country Club
About
The Poinciana Golf Club has recently re-opened under NEW MANAGEMENT and has done extensive renovations to the golf course including NEW GREENS.
Located in western Lake Worth, Poinciana Country Club is one of several great short courses that south Florida has to offer. At just over 4,000 yards, it is a quick and challenging test of your target golf skills. The greens are small with large breaks and there are swaying palms lining the fairways. The layout consists of par 3s that range from 103 to 172 yards and par 4s that are approximately 300 yards. There are strategically placed hazards throughout the golf course that offer good short game practice for more advanced players. Poinciana Country Club can conveniently be played in less than four hours. The golf course is still gentle enough for beginners though. It is popular amongst locals but still a well kept secret from the rest of south Florida.

Up and Coming
Course is a work in progress. Greens are smooth, fast and run true.If you miss a putt, it's because you mishit the ball.
Fairways and tee boxes are a work in progress. Course is short, but challenging. I am familiar with new management team and they have an excellent track record. This was my first time playing the course but I understand it was in really bad shape. Give it time.
The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The facilities are nice, and carts are in good shape.
Had lunch in Mels Way. Very Good.Very Clean.
Good value
Well located. Only a Par 64 course. Lots of Par 3s in front & back. Not a course to speed thru as older golfers tend to take their time.
Nice course
Very nice staff
Conditions are good
Had an enjoyable round
Great local course
Great place for me to get in a quick 9 before work. Close to home, great layout for a higher handicapper like me. Staff is top notch. Played there twice and both times they were super friendly, took care of my clubs right away, even carried them to my car at the end of my round! I belong to a local CC and while the course is not quite at that level, the service was. From what I understand new owners and they are working hard to get the course back to top form. Not a long course and a lot of par threes so perfect for working on your short game. Definitely will be back and might make it a weekly visit.
Fair conditions
We’ve played this course several times since December until now . Some T boxes are now literally sand boxes and the fairways are very dry and less grass. I don’t recall seeing sprinklers which would explain the conditions deteriorating. We like the course because even if it’s an executive it has 3 par fives. There’s no Marshall for the pace of play so 4 hours for an executive is long… I give it 4 stars because I find it expensive for the quality of an executive. The greens are nice and fast.
Slow
Slow course. Tee box was either beat up or long. Greens were consistent. Pace was pretty slow. 2 teams waiting on the 3rd each hole. Last resort to play.
I liked it
We started at our assigned tee time, that's a plus! None of us had played there before so our pace could've been faster since we weren't familiar with the layout. The grounds were neat and well groomed. The greens were exceptionally fast and challenging!
We will certainly return to play there.
