Park Ridge Golf Course
About
Park Ridge Golf Course transformed what was formerly the site of the Lantana Landfill into a popular municipal course. Construction began on this unique undertaking in 2004 and the end result was certified by Audubon International as a Cooperative Sanctuary. The course climbs up to 85 feet, making it one of the highest golf courses in the county. It has a links-style layout that rolls across a variety of elevation changes, offering plenty of stunning views along the way. Such a contoured and hilly course is a rare occurrence in Florida. The golf course provides a challenge with some very tricky par 3s, several blind shots due to the rolling terrain, and strategically placed traps throughout but there are no water hazards except for one lateral hazard. There is also thick rough framing many of the holes.

The layout is fun and not your typical FL course as others have said. There is water on just one hole but tall “decorative grass” lining almost every hole which makes it challenging if you don’t hit it straight.
The course was in good condition. The greens are pretty slow and have some patches of foreign grass, but they roll true.
The main reason the course didn’t get 5 stars is that the carts are junk. The carts are old gas carts that sometimes didn’t want to start. All 3 carts in our group had issues. For $70+ green fees they should be better.
Fun place to play.
Very hilly, for S. Fl. Scenic with blind holes. 6 par threes, 6 par fours and 6 par fives. In great condition, although the greens are a little slow.
Very enjoyable.
Best bang for the buck in Palm beach county and you can score here, blues play 5745yds. For the average golfer this place is great because you can spray the ball and for the most part there is not much trouble directly in front of greens, and the greens are good a little soft so don’t break as much as they look. For us transplant northerners we get some elevation. They have not gouged prices based on amount of traffic as other places and/or increased twilight to 3pm or more ....2:20 tee time on a Sunday for $30(sunset at 6:30 )If you have the luxury of being able to keep checking back for cancellations they will pop. 6 par 3’s and 6 par 5’s make for fun. Staff has always been very accommodating and the friendly.
Realy too expensive for 9 holes
It is a little bit expensive but Mr. Rich Smolen, manager, has been very friendly regarding the last review I made a week ago. Thank you meeting me and so long. Frank Dumas.
Best, most unique public course in the area
Park Ridge is awesome. The course is in excellent condition, has a beautiful layout, has serious elevation changes throughout and is a blast to play. I very highly recommend.
Realy too expensive for 9 holes
This course was perfect last year and before. This year, they realy too increase their prices comparer with last year, mainly for a nine holes at the end of the day Thank you for listening me. Frank Dumas.
