Osprey Point Golf Club - Hawk/Falcon Course
About
Located in South County Regional Park, Osprey Point Golf Club offers the first course in Florida to be designated as an Audubon International Classic Signature Golf Course. You would never be able to tell from looking at it now, but the site was farmland before it was used for shellrock mining and then abandoned. The landscape had been overgrown but the Parks and Rec Department of Palm Beach County transformed it into a lush and scenic course. The golf course is a 27-hole layout that can be played in three different 18-hole combinations. All of the tees, greens, and fairways feature environmentally friendly Seashore Paspalum. The Hawk/Falcom combination has a gently rolling landscape enhanced with native vegetation. The elevation changes are subtle but they still provide a few tricky lies.

Play it
This course is a must. Great layout and condition.not overly expensive for this time of year. A must play.
Always a good time
Great grass! Fairways are great and greens run great. Only negative is pace of play, visitors show no respect for people playing behind them.
Incredibly rude and disgruntled starters
Due to a change in plans I was able to arrive about an hour early for my 3:00 tee time. I check in with the starter, an older gentleman who looked mad at the world. He took down my information, including cart number, and I proceeded to my cart. After 3 or 4 minutes I decided to move my cart closer to the putting green and he shouted at me "hey Cart 125 you need to check in". I looked at him in disbelief and said "I just spoke with you 3 minutes ago". He scowled at me and asked for my tee time - which again he just took down 3 minutes earlier. I then asked him if I might be able to join an earlier group since I was a single golfer and I was there quite early. He just replied abruptly "No" ... as I watched several groups of 3 golfers proceed to the 1st tee over the next little while. While waiting until my tee time I guess senile Scrooge's shift must have ended because he was replaced by another guy. I was chatting with another pair of golfers whose scheduled tee time had already passed by, yet they hadn't been called to the tee. I decided to see if this new starter was any friendlier and asked if they were running behind. His response was to ask me for my tee time and say to me "why do you care you aren't up for another 6 minutes". I golf about 25 times per year and its incredibly rare to meet anyone on a golf course, including the starter, who is not friendly and in a good mood. These two a-holes on a power trip were the exception to that rule. Add that to the fact that the pace of play was incredibly slow - 2.5 hours for 9 holes on an incredibly wide open golf course - and I won't be coming back here again, despite the fact that it is a very nice course (and plays very easy on the handicap).

S L O W
There is no excuse for 4:45 golf when there are holes with no one on them and no "player assistant" to be found. Management needs a refresher course.
Great course
Awesome course and value! A lot of different tee boxes fore different skill levels
Nice Course to play on.
The course is well laid out and nice to play, but it is not an easy course. You have to have a good knowledge of the game to play there.
The Bunkers protect all greens and that makes the game a little bit more difficult but interesting.
Awesome course
Great day first class facilities. Greens rolled perfectly
Very solid. Worth it
Started at 11am on a Saturday. Took 4:15 but was a solid pace given Saturday mid-day. Great course layout, each 9 are different. Would def recommend
Not great
Still making people wear masks in the pro shop, but not in the bar/restaurant? No way you will finish 18 if you book at 4pm or after with the pace of play (took 2 hours to get through 9). Staff was rude in the few interactions I had at the pro shop and cart return
