About

Cypress Creek Country Club in Boynton Beach offers classic Florida golf. The course is mostly open and it features wide, player-friendly fairways. The layout is notable for being Robert Von Hagge's first design. It is a traditional layout that casual players will enjoy but it has challenges in store for the low handicapper as well. The par 3s are quite lengthy and there are water hazards coming into play on a few holes. There are also a number of strategically placed bunkers along the greensides. Five sets of tees make the course approachable for all skill levels. It is an excellent layout for tournaments or outings. In addition to the golf course, Cypress Creek also offers a driving range where golfers can get in some practice before starting the round.

The pace of play was great.
Even though the course was in descent shape and the staff and pace of play was above par, the greens were way to slow. They said the stimp was at 8, but it had to be lower then that, you should be able to putt and roll not have to whack at it on long putts.
pleasant round, except for the cold
a decent course for a comfortable round. Starter made excellent choices to space groups and allow for good pace of unpressured play. Course is in OK shape, tho many tee boxes, parts of the fairways and greens could use some work. Overall, an Ok place to play.
Nice day
Great improvement in conditions. I would definitely play this course again.
Cypress Creek
Staff was very friendly and I don't know if I got lucky but the pace of play was excellent. Course was not in the greatest of conditions and greens were very slow.
On the way back
Last time I played here I figured it was my last, conditions were horrific. Much better now, greens are a little slow, but at least they're grass. Tee boxes are better and fairways are much improved. If only they managed play better, no marshals, as far as I could tell and multiple groups stacked at some tees.
Coarse much better
After a couple of years the coarse is getting back to the playable conditions. Some of the tees boxes are kind of rough. The greens are on the slow side. But overall if not a bad deal at the price.
Great Value
Walked 18 holes in 3 hours on a Sunday afternoon! Played from the white tees 6200+ yards and was deceivingly long. Wide open and not much trouble. Greens were in nice shape but rolled slow. For $15 this time of year one of the best values out there. Will be back.
Most approved
Most improved greens in Palm Beach County this year. At the beginning of this year 2016 this course had the worst greens in the county they now have some of the best.
Cypress creek
Great course for the amount they charged.
MAJOR IMPROVEMENTS
I've played at the course many times over the last 3 years. It's local, nice layout and a great bargain for 18 and a cart. I last played in March of 2016 and said I'll never be back due to the course conditions. Well, I went back on Sunday and was very impressed. The tee boxes are back, the greens are back and the overal condition is so much better. In March there was no grass on the greens, the fairways and tee boxes were also a mess. Night and day. I'll definitely be back and reccommend to a friend. Great work on the improvements.
Worst greens ever!!!
I have played at more than 100 different golf courses and this course had the worst greens I've ever played on. Calling them greens is a misnomer, since there is almost no green on any of them. They are virtually all sand and it doesn't look like they will recover any time soon. I can understand a couple of greens being in poor condition, but virtually every green on this course is a joke. Don't bother playing here.
A poor value for a long time
Again, I was totally disappointed with the condition of the course. Now, the tees are as poor in condition as the greens. Simply said no more visits for me.
If you like putting on sand....
As our foursome left the course we said that would not play this course again until they fix the greens. We have played this course in the past (1 & 2 years ago) and the course was in good shape and the greens were just OK. Today the course fairways were just OK but the greens were awful. We invoked the two putt rule on very green because it was impossible to keep a line and a speed on the sand covered greens. Not worth the money we paid. Sorry Cyress Creek, until you put some money in this course and fix it, we will be back.
False advertisement !!!!!!!
Played this so called course 3 times in the last year.... no improvement. When I questioned the personnel what improvements are coming in March 2015, the answer was a couple of growing seasons and it will be in the best shape ever. Approx. 4 months ago the I saw some greens were rolled by an commercial street roller and I thought improvements were slowing coming...... then today I played this mismanaged place. Very disappointed to put it mildly. Bunkers have not been raked this year and the "pothole" pin placements look like they have not been moved in weeks. This place is going backwards. The excuse that I read from previous posts from Cypress Creek was they have experienced heavy rain recently . I guess it only rains there. No other course in the area - Atlantic National / Atlantis / West Chester / Palm Beach National / Park Ridge / Okeeheelee etc. are having the problems this place has. This was the first course I played when I came to Florida seven years ago and now it will be my last.
HORRIBLE
Course condition was disgusting. Tees are a mess, fairways beat up and greens are about as bad as it gets. Called to make a reservation and they didn't reveal that the greens were "heavily" top dressed. It felt like we were hitting into sand traps with a flag stuck in the ground. I felt their behavior in concealing this was unethical and a lack of respect for their customers. Will never return to this cow pasture.
Older course
The greens were terrible since they were fertilizing and there were clumps of that stuff all over them. The fairways were very rough with patchy grass with lots of divots. Cart paths are full of pot holes and the sand traps didn't have any rakes.
We golfed at 12:52 and the fee was 35.00 plus tax.
We will not be returning to this course that's for sure!
Definitely not recommending this to anyone.
Worst course in PB County
On 1/21/16 I played this course I had not played in over 1 year due to poor conditions. I should have learned my lesson the course is in even worse shape than I remember. Fairways are soft mushy and full of weeds. Greens are horrendous with little to no grass on them. Bunkers are in disaray with grass and weeds growing in them, to the point where on 18 I hit into what I thought was a mound just to find out that it was a fairway bunker that grass and leaves covered so much of it you didn't know from the tee it was there. This course should be shut down for renovation as it is not fit for play not even for a first time player. I would not recommend this course to anyone.
No grass on greens!!!
Absolutely horrible, mud everywhere, green sand and regular sand are what greens are made of. I am an average golfer definitely not a golf snob. But this was ridiculous pro shop should tell you hey just so you now are greens are totally burned out. Paid $40.00 bucks STAY AWAY..
The worstrst course i saw since a very long time, bad conditions
After 4 holes my wife stop to play because that was horrible.
For myself i stop after 8 holes and never i will play again this course
Thank you very much for your feedback. We apologize you did not enjoy your experience. The high amount of rain we have received since early December has created some challenges that we are actively working to address every day. We look forward to you returning in the future as the conditions continue to improve.
